University Baptist Church

Life Groups

Our life groups consist of Bible study groups who also happen to be great friends. Learning God's Word is essential to living a full and meaningful life.

We have Bible study groups that meet on Sunday mornings at 10:15 as well as a college and young adult group which meets at a nearby restaurant on Sundays at 5:30 pm and then returns to the church for a Bible study session.

We look to establish other groups in the near future which will meet in homes during the week. You will be welcomed at any of these groups, so come find new friends and learn about living a rich life in God's Word.

The Well Church

The Well Church is a new church-plant that started on the Hill in 2017. The Well Church exists to send disciple-makers of Jesus by being disciple-makers of Jesus. With an emphasis on reaching the next generation, we invite you to join us as we worship God and pursue those who do not know Him.

Sundays - 11 AM

Womens Groups

Our Women's Ministries are comprised of missions groups and a ministry group.

Our Women on Mission groups meets each Wednesday at 5:30 pm.

Our Women's Ministry group meets as needed to plan various events throughout the year including teas and themed supper events as well as women's conference trips such as Beth Moore Conferences.

To get involved in our Women's Ministries or to learn more call or email the church office. They can direct you to the appropriate leaders.

Mens Groups

King David of the Bible was considered a man after God's own heart. What an incredible thing to be known in that way. Can people say that about you - that you have a heart like God?

Our Men's Ministry exists to support men of all ages, to grow together in Christ-likeness. Retreats, breakfast meetings, and conferences are offered throughout the year with the hope that as iron sharpens iron we will help draw one another closer to being a man after God's own heart.

Seniors Groups

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The goal of our Senior Adult Ministry is to insure that every Senior Adult has a place of ministry and service as long as they live.  No matter what limitations: physically, financially, or emotionally, we believe our Senior Adults can and should participate in activities that are designed for service for the Lord. The goals for Senior Adult Ministry at University Baptist Church are: to show love and concern to our Senior Adults, to give them an opportunity to use their God-given abilities in service, to provide opportunities for Christian fellowship, and to provide opportunities for a deeper understanding and the assurance of God’s continuing love and care. We believe that there is a purpose in all of life.  It is our belief that the Bible does not teach that a person should retire from life.  Although many Senior Adults do retire from public work, we believe that God expects us to continue to serve Him with the spiritual gifts and talents He has given us.

LiveWire

Our Senior Adult Group is called LiveWire.  We get together for special events, such as speaker programs, covered dish lunches, and trips.  These activities are designed to allow our senior adults to participate and to invite friends and relatives to join them in fun events that they can enjoy.  Activities revolve around a monthly meeting held at 10:30 A.M. on the fourth Thursday of each month. At each meeting, we have a devotion and prayer time when we can share needs and concerns with each other.

BIBLE STUDY

We have Bible study classes to meet the needs of Senior Adults. We have men’s classes, women’s classes and coed classes. We meet Sunday mornings at 10:15 for a time of fellowship and prayer then study God’s Word together.

MISSION ACTIONS

Our senior adults do many things to reach out to each other and to others in our community.  They visit in homes, hospitals, and nursing homes.  They write cards and notes to shut-ins and people who are not able to attend church regularly.  They are a vital part of our prayer chain that shares prayer needs in times of crisis.  When someone is hurting, our senior adults are lifting them up to the Lord in prayer.

If you are looking for a place to be challenged to use your spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities for the purposes and glory of God in and through His church, join us at University Baptist Church.
